First Day of Kindergarten!!

Happy first day of Kindergarten Jackson!!

Today was a day we have been anticipating all summer long. Our sweet Jackson started kindergarten!! We tried our best to make this a really special day for him, because we knew he was having a some pre-kindergarten jitter bugs. He let us know he was a little scared, but was gonna be a brave boy for us.

Today was a day that Dan and I had been getting a little emotional over as well, I was gonna miss him dearly. Dan just feels like his little boy is growing up way to fast. All is true! He is growing to fast and I know I am going to miss him dearly!

The morning started a little rough for us. I woke up super early only to find that both kids thought it was also a good idea to wake up super early.  Jack burned himself on my curling iron, which in his 5 years of life has NEVER done. He woke up with a stuffy/runny nose and not feeling 100% and Elle just cranky and upset that she wasn't starting kindergarten.

Once we got to his school he was a tad nervous and apprehensive. He wanted to make sure I was gonna be right by his classroom door to pick him up and that I wasn't going to drive to far away.

They started their morning and we got to stay for a bit and watch...The it was time to say our goodbyes and I just broke out in the ugly cry. I'm gonna blame it on the pregnancy hormones but I had to kiss and hug him super quick and bolt out of the class.

I cried all the way home. I so badly wanted to know how his day was going, I so badly wanted to go have a peek/spy on him during his recess. Dan said it would be kinda creepy for the teacher so I didn't but had friends that where at the school take a peek in on him and let me know how he was doing.

When I went to go pick him up he was excited to see me, and though he didn't feel really well he said he had a great day.

We are excited to see him start his schooling adventure and to see him blossom and learn so many new things.

We are so proud of you Jackson!!!

Jack looking at the picture Dan put in his lunch pale.

Bikes, fishing in the street, phones...

We live in Condos, which I loved when I was single! No yard work, no outside structure to up keep, water is paid for, pool is paid for, ideal for a single girl. Right!?  Well I certainly didn't know that shortly after I would be married and have a couple kids. ha! Who knew, I would be raising my family here, but I am. I am making the best of it! We have plenty of space inside, it's the outside I struggle with. I would love to be able to let the kids go out in a gated backyard and play. Instead we open our garage call all the neighbors out..and play in the street. (We have the BEST neighbors) It's a tad ghetto I know...especially because sometimes I'm still in my Jammie's.;) ha! This is our home, it's ours and we are so thankful for it. So for the time being we are playing in the street and we are most definitely enjoying it.

Jackson trying to ride using NO hands and having his huge Iron man mask thing dangling from his handlebars..All while not wearing a helmet!! I swear I am a better mom than that. :/
Baby being as cute as possible!! I'll tell her, " You are so stinkin cute!! " and she says back to me,
"I'm not stinky mommy!" haha!  I just love her!

She is giving me "thumbies" It's a thing she does with her Daddy. They both touch there thumbs together and say, "thumbies!"

They pulled out there chairs and fishing poles and pretended the side walk was the ground and the pavement was the lake.

While in the garage..Elle found her princess phone!!  You would have thought she saw a long lost friend!

I wonder who she is talking too!

Look who's gonna be.....

A Kindergartner !!!!!

He is absolutely ready! We did registration in January and this last Tuesday he did his testing. They said, he did super well!  This week we got his acceptance letter!  We are so proud of him!

The school he is going to is ALL day! he still takes naps on most days so I am sure by the end of the Summer we will have to do some adjusting to just resting, maybe going to bed a tad earlier.

We are looking forward to Sept. when he starts and watching him grow and learn his first year in school, but until then.....We are going to have a BLAST this summer!!!

Jackson's F.I.V.E!!!!

I still have to pinch myself! He has grown into an awesome young boy, so smart, so caring, and so so much energy! He keeps me on my toes and keeps me wanting to be the BEST mom I can be for him.

On his actual birthday Dan and I took him to Lunch at Farrell's Famous Ice Cream Parlor...That place R.O.C.K.S!!

He got to celebrate with his Pre-school class. He got a little shy when they sang to him, but I know he enjoys being the center of attention. I was lucky enough to be able to stay and help that day with his class.
That weekend we had a Rock Climbing themed birthday party for him. It was a great turn out, we had about 15 that rock climbed. The kids were by far the bravest! It was such a rewarding experience for them I think. It was some intense rock climbing for these little ones. They climbed crazy high!

Well...let's just say I wont be rock climbing any more! haha! Most embarrassing moment E.V.E.R!!

Happy 5th Birthday Jackson!! We love you so so so so much!
