Our family has grown by two fins

As if I don't have enough butts to wipe, dog crap to pick up, and things to do throughout my day; I now have a new mouth to feed and bowl to clean after my husband brought Jackson his very own Nemo. My hubby walked in from work today with a bright colored fish and all his belongings (bowl, fish flakes, little rocks, and a tree thing) in tow. Anything to put a smile on your sons face, right? I could tell my hubby was really excited to give it to him and if I said Jackson was excited it would be an understatement. He just wanted to hold the fish and look at the fish non stop. You could just see what he was thinking by the expressions on his face. He looked like, " What the heck is that thing!" We asked him what he wanted to name his very own pet fish and his response was, "Kobe". Kobe, really? After a couple hours had past and all the hype of this stupid fish simmered down, I heard him talking to the fish and he kept calling it Memo (Nemo)...Memo it was! Several hours later and right before he was getting ready to go to bed he was sitting on the counter feeding "Memo" and we asked Jack again what his fishes name was and he said with a very confident sternness, "Memo-Kobe" So as I right this post I can't help but think just how long will Memo-Kobe be apart of our family. I give him a week:) Then Ill probably have to sneak out of the house to replace him, just so I don't see a sad face on Jackson, but till that day he is one happy camper.

The fish came with a pamphlet....They are strange fish.
Betta - Traits & Behavior:
Carnivores - they eat other fish or fish particles.
Temperament - Male Betta's (which we have) are aggressive toward each other. Therefore, house only one make with smaller, peaceful fish, or keep him alone. Females are not aggressive and can live together peacefully. ( naturally!)
Air Breathers - Betta's gulp air from the waters surface to help them breathe.
