He is 99% potty trained! He goes pee and poop all day in the toilet...He still wares a diaper at night though:( He wakes up with a full diaper so I'm kinda afraid to even try. We are so proud of him!
We were letting him pick out of a surprise bag filled with toy cars, but that kinda got expensive. We switch it up to Jelly Beans and that works just as well. He gets 1 for pee and 2 for poop:) We use it as a little teaching tool too. We ask Him what color jelly bean he would like ( usually red, blue, or orange) and then we grab a handful of them and he has to pick out the color that he said he wanted.
I don't think it was the reward system that helped potty train Jack him though. I really believe it was because I showed Jack how to clean up after himself. (Jack uses one of those little toilets) I let him dump all of the cacas (that's what he calls it) into the big toilet, then he flushes the toilet. He then puts the little insert that comes out to be cleaned in the sink. He turns on the sink and cleans it out and puts it back on his little toilet then he gets back on his stool and washes his hands and dries them on the hand towel. He does it just like I taught him:) He really likes to be independent so he must do it "ALL BY HIMSELF" or he has a meltdown..He does a really good job. I do observe him from a few feet away, but I try to give him his space. He definitely keeps an eye on me to make sure I don't get to close to him. Ha ha! Boys are so gross;/
When we are out and about he likes to stand on the toilet...it gets a little messy! I'm going to start putting Cheerios in the toilet and have him try and aim at the target.
If anyone has any other ideas to help Lil boys keep a straight aim in the toilet, I would love to hear from you....
